Two men arrested in Bangladesh after burning down Dhaka garment factory

    Two men have been arrested following an arson attack on a garment factory in Dhaka's Mirpur area.

    The duo, identified as 43-year-old Mohammed Shahidul Islam and 20-year-old Mohammed Ariful Islam torched the building after stealing clothes worth over 4.3 million Taka on February 15.

    Following the fire, the factory owner reported that over 2 million Taka worth of products were destroyed.

    The arrests were made when a Rapid Action Battalion team conducted a raid in front of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute in Gazipur yesterday.

    The RAB members also seized women and men's trousers, and boys' shirts worth Tk 4,322,065.
