Two miners killed in Pakistan explosion

At least two people have been killed in an explosion at a mine in Pakistan.

The blast in the coal mine near Quetta is believed to have trapped a dozen people on Sunday (12 August) evening.

Rescue efforts are underway though authorities are cautious about the chances of survival for the men.

According to the Pakistan Central Mines Labour Federation (PCMLF), between 100 and 200 labourers die on average in coal mine accidents every year.
