Two people have been killed and four injured in an improvised explosive device blast in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.
The explosion took place in Hakoora Bodasgam of Anantnag district in south Kashmir.
A government program called 'Back to Village' was in progress when the explosion occurred.
The injured were immediately rushed to the Anantnag district hospital.
Officials also confirmed reports of a second explosion in the market near Sir Syed gate of Kashmir University in the Hazratbal area on Tuesday afternoon.
At least three people were injured in the explosion, although all are in a stable condition in hospital.
Officials have explained the explosion was not caused by a grenade as suspected earlier, and a preliminary investigation suggests that it was a low-intensity blast.
