3,600kg of unhygienic meat destined for local butchers was seized by authorities in Lahore.
The Punjab Food Authority retrieved the meat from a slaughterhouse in the Bakar Mandi area and made arrests at the site.
Reports say the germ-infested product was set ablaze at the Punjab Agriculture and Meat Company’s furnace.
