An Indian passport official has been transferred to a different post after allegedly offending an inter-faith couple.
A Hindu woman complained to the country’s foreign minister over social media, claiming an official in the northern city of Lucknow harassed the couple by saying her Muslim husband should convert to Hinduism.
She added their passport application was also "put on hold" and they were "humiliated" by the experience.
Authorities say the couple have now been issued with their passports and an investigation has been ordered.
