Police in India’s Uttar Pradesh state are on high alert after receiving a letter threatening attacks on temples and railways.
The letter is alleged to have come from Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Pakistani terrorist group responsible for carrying out the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Authorities said the letter appears to be a hoax, but necessary precautions have been taken.
