It is alleged a woman has died at a Lahore hospital during a young doctor’s strike.
Reports say a 50-year-old woman was denied treatment at the Services Hospital in the city as activists from the Young Doctors Association (YDA) withheld their services over pay and other grievances.
The YDA called the strike a few days ago and organised a march to the Punjab chief minister’s office to conduct a sit-in.
They have claimed the woman was already dead when she was brought to the hospital, a claim a local source says was denied by a female relative.
Police used a water cannon to disperse the protesters before taking into custody six activists.
