Woman receives death sentence for murder of aspiring model in Lahore

A woman has been sentenced to death following the murder of an aspiring model in Lahore.

The case dates back to 2014. Local reports say the assailant, identified as Tooba, wanted to murder her former husband with the help of the victim, named as Abeera.

It is claimed Tooba wanted to carry out the killing because she blamed the man for the death of their two-month-old daughter.

The prosecution said that when Abeera stepped back from assisting in the murder she was killed by the offender through poisoning.
