Alex Hales not charged by police and available for England selection

Alex Hales will not be charged over an incident outside of a nightclub in Bristol and is available for selection by England.

The England batsmen had been with Ben Stokes, who was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm, during the incident in September.

Hales, 28, was not arrested but was interviewed under caution and was not considered for selection by the English and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

He may now ne selected but could still be punished by the ECB.

The ECB's internal disciplinary process is on hold until any criminal proceedings against Stokes are concluded.
