Former Chelsea and Arsenal left-back Ashley Cole is in talks to join former team mate Frank Lampard’s Derby County.
The 38-year-old is a free agent after being released by Los Angeles Galaxy in November last year.
Lampard, who spent eight years with Cole at Chelsea, wants the former England International to provide defensive cover as his side chase promotion to the Premier League.
Cole, who won 107 England caps, helped Chelsea win the Premier League title in 2010 and the 2012 Champions League.
