Bantams win bronze in football business awards

Bradford City AFC’s ‘City For All’ campaign has won bronze in the Best Club Marketing award - at this year’s Football Business Awards

In their ninth year, the awards celebrate outstanding performances in football media, marketing, business and technology departments.

The Bantams were shortlisted following a 2020/21 'City For All' season-ticket campaign which welcomed all corners of the Bradford district, celebrating pride, ambition and affordability.

Launched alongside a powerful video, the initiative saw supporters young and old convey their love of Bradford City.

Line-by-line, the message of 'City For All' was delivered - over the course of 90 passionate seconds

Everton won the overall prize, with AFC Wimbledon coming second, meaning the Bantams beat fellow finalists Chelsea, Aston Villa, Brentford, Leyton Orient and Accrington Stanley to third place.

Clubs from across the Premier League, EFL and SPFL joined sponsors, partners, community schemes and businesses to celebrate exceptional work in football across 26 categories at yesterday’s lunchtime ceremony in London.

Gary Neville took the coveted Global Football Ambassador Award, while Leicester City’s Susan Whelan was crowned CEO of the Year.

Attended by over 350 leading football industry executives, the awards are considered the industry’s foremost accolade, attracting hundreds of entries every year from both the business units within football clubs and those professional services and businesses dedicated to supporting clubs and the game itself.
