Barcelona Boss, Luis Enrique quits

46 year old Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique has confirmed that he has decided to step down, when his contract expires this summer.

For quite a while now, rumours had been circulating that Enrique was considering leaving the club and may not be renewing his contract.

After much speculation, yesterday he released a statement in which he said:

"I will not be the coach of Barcelona next season, I would like to thank the club for the confidence they have shown in me, it's been three unforgettable years. This is a difficult, measured and well thought out decision, and I think I have to be loyal to what I think. There are three exciting months ahead. We are in a difficult situation, but with the help of everyone, we can turn that around!”
