The British and Irish Lions were defeated by Highlanders 23-22 yesterday, 13 June.
It is the team’s second loss in four games during their tour of New Zealand.
Elliot Daly had the opportunity to clinch the match with a late attempt at a 57-metre penalty. However, his kick fell just short as the British and Irish Lions lost narrowly to the Highlanders.
Warren Gatland’s side will next face the Maori All Blacks on Saturday, 17 June, as part of the tour. It will be their fifth of sixth warm-up matches before they take on the All Blacks in three Tests, starting on 24 June.
