Chris Froome has claimed that he was “rammed on purpose” by a car driver whilst out riding in southern France.
The Three-time Tour de France winner took to twitter following the incident, with a picture of his damaged bike.
The 31-year-old Briton, who rides for Team Sky, wrote:
"Just got rammed on purpose by an impatient driver who followed me onto the pavement! Thankfully I'm okay. Bike totalled. Driver kept going!"
Froome is preparing for a defence of his Tour de France title from 1-23 July.
