David Moyes appointed as manager of West Ham

West Ham have hired David Moyes as manager.

The London club sacked Slaven Bilic on Monday, 6 November, after the Hammers dropped into the relegation zone following a 4-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Moyes has been out of work since May, when he resigned as Sunderland manager after the club's relegation to the Championship.

The former Manchester United and Everton boss faces a difficult run in December, which brings league games against leaders Manchester City, last season's champions Chelsea and Arsenal.
