Kenyan world record holder Eliud Kipchoge has announced he plans to defend his title at the 2019 London Marathon on 28 April.
The 34-year-old will face stiff competition against Britain’s Mo Farah, who finished third and just over two minutes behind Kipchoge.
Farah, 35, took his first marathon victory in Chicago in October.
