England beat Slovakia 2-1 in front of a home crowd at Wembley to secure their position at the top of the qualifying group for the World Cup.
England went behind after only three minutes of play, as careless play from Marcus Rashford allowed Stanislav Lobotka to put the visitors ahead.
The Three Lions came back just before half time with a well taken near-post flick by Eric Dier from a corner.
Rashford made amends for his earlier mistake with a shot from outside the box, which beat the Slovakia keeper Martin Dubravka after 59 minutes.
Although he did not score Dele Alli was the subject of post-match attention, as television footage appeared to show him using a middle finger gesture after a body check from Martin Skrtel.
Alli later wrote on Twitter that the gesture was not aimed at any rivals but to one of his team-mates: "Just to clarify, the gesture was a joke between me and my good friend Kyle Walker. Apologies for any offence caused."
