The England cricket team is preparing to sail into unchartered waters as the date for their first day-night Test creeps closer.
Play will start at 2.00pm and continue until 9.00pm, with an additional 30 minutes possible at the end of each day's play.
Edgbaston will host the first ever Test to be played under these conditions in England, and the fifth in international cricket anywhere.
In the inaugural day-night Test in November 2015 Australia beat New Zealand in Adelaide, while Australia have also beaten South Africa and Pakistan under lights.
The other day-night Test involved West Indies, who were beaten by Pakistan in October 2016.
The teams will wear traditional white clothing but a pink Dukes ball will be used instead of the regular red.
The first Test starts on Thursday, 17 August.
