Everton have agreed a £27 million deal to sign Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.
Toffees boss Sam Allardyce said they are now working on agreeing personal terms for the 26-year-old Germany-born Turkey international.
It is believed the deal had been delayed as the Turkish club held out for a higher offer from the original £25 million bid.
Everton have struggled to replace the goal-scoring prowess of Romelu Lukaku, following his £90 million move to Manchester United before the start of the season.
