Former UFC fighter Tim Hague has died after being knocked out in a boxing match.
The 34-year-old walked out of the ring but was then taken to hospital and fell into a coma in Canada on Friday, 16 June.
The Canadian was active in UFC from 2009 to 2011.
He was knocked down five times in the first two rounds against Adam Braidwood before the bout was stopped.
His family said in a statement: "It is with incredible sadness, sorrow and heartbreak to report that Tim has passed away.
"He was surrounded by family, listening to his favourite songs. We will miss him so greatly. We ask for privacy during this difficult time."
The tragedy comes days after UFC fighter Conor McGregor confirmed that he will also step away from the mixed martial arts discipline to fight Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match in August.
