France beat Belgium to win the Davis Cup for the 10th time.
World number 18 Pouille claimed victory for his country in a deciding match with a 6-3 6-1 6-0 win over world number 76 Steve Darcis.
France began the final day on Sunday 26 November 2-1 up in the best-of-five tie, but David Goffin levelled for Belgium by beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 6-2 – setting up the decisive final match.
It is the first time France has won the tournament since 2001. They managed it in front of a rapturous home crowd at the Pierre Mauroy stadium in Lille.
