France World Cup team to receive nation’s highest honour

    The World Cup winning France team is to receive the nation’s highest accolade.

    The French presidency has announced the squad will be given the Légion d'Honneur. Les Bleus defeated Croatia 4-2 in the final in Moscow on Sunday - the country's second World Cup in 20 years.

    The players will be honoured with a parade on the Champs-Elysees and a presidential reception when they return to Paris.
