British former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has claimed that a deal to fight Deontay Wilder is “almost done”.
Fury, 29, is set to fight Italian Francesco Pianeta on 18 August after returning to boxing following a 32-month absence with an easy victory over Sefer Seferi last month.
In a post on social media Fury said negotiations for a bout in December with American Wilder, the WBC title holder, were in the final stages: "I am a man of my word, and if I say I'll fight, I will fight you. Negotiations are very strong and we're almost done with this deal."
