Hearts striker Steven MacLean could face a ban for grabbing the private parts of Celtic midfielder Eboue Kouassi.
It is expected a Scottish FA compliance officer will review footage of the incident during Hearts' 3-0 League Cup semi-final defeat on Sunday.
Kouassi fell to the Murrayfield turf after the 24th-minute incident. He was seen limping prior to the clash and was substituted for Scott Sinclair.
If MacLean is found guilty of violent conduct the 36-year-old would face a two-match suspension.
