Jermaine McGillvary has been charged for allegedly biting Lebanon captain Robbie Farah.
The England winger, who plays domestically for Huddersfield, will face a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday 8 November and may be banned over the incident which took place during England’s 29-10 win on Saturday, 4 November.
The incident took place when both players were involved in a ruck. Video footage appears to show Farah’s arm on McGillvary’s mouth but it is unclear whether there was any biting action.
Players found guilty of biting can typically face bans of up to 12 weeks.
