Johanna Konta has crashed out of the Australian Open in the second round.
The British number one was beaten in straight sets by world number 123 Bernarda Pera. The American won 6-4 7-5 to claim only her second win at Grand Slam level.
Konta, 26, had pulled out of the Brisbane International earlier in the month with a hip injury but did not blame this for her performance when she spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live: "I think my serve definitely let me down a little bit today. I do think I was a little uncoordinated today. I don't think I've fallen over on my own two feet since I was going through growth spurts."
