Lyon scored four extra time goals to defend the Women’s Champions League, lifting the trophy for a record fifth time.
Following a goalless 90 minutes Wolfsburg went ahead first in Kiev, with a goal from Pernille Harder.
Shortly after Harder’s team-mate Alexandra Popp was sent off for a second yellow card and the German club’s fortunes quickly turned.
Amandine Henry levelled before Shanice van de Sanden crossed for both Eugenie Le Sommer and Ada Hegerberg.
Camille Abily's low finish sealed it.
The French outfit, who extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 41 consecutive games, became the first women's team to lift three consecutive European titles.
