New Celtic boss Neil Lennon said returning to the club was a “no-brainer”.
Lennon, appointed until the end of the season after Rodgers left on Tuesday to become Leicester City boss, managed the Glasgow side from 2010-2014.
The 47-year-old."I'm very, very grateful to be here. I don't have all the answers, and certainly I don't want to be compared to Brendan."
He added: "I know some people will do that as we go along, but Brendan has his way and it has been fantastic, and I have my way."
