Misbah-ul-Haq, the Pakistani Test captain, has announced his retirement from the international arena.
The 42-year-old is due to retire at the end of the West Indies tour, which will begin on 21 April 2017.
Since taking over the helm in 2010 the batsman has led Pakistan on 53 Tests and was named one of Wisden's five Cricketers of the Year for 2016.
He will retire having become Pakistan’s most successful Test captain, with 24 wins from 53 and having held the number one Test ranking spot last year.
