Patrice Evra was sent off during a warm up for kicking a fan of his own club in the head.
The 36-year-old Marseille defender was ordered to leave the pitch before the French team’s Europa League defeat at Vitoria Guimaraes.
Evra, appeared to kick the man to the head during what looked like a brawl. It has been alleged that supporters had been jeering the former Manchester United player for around half an hour.
Uefa has charged Evra with violent conduct, whilst Marseille have received charges of a field invasion by fans, setting off of fireworks and "acts of damages".
