Police have opened an investigation into a bottle being thrown at Tottenham player Dele Alli during a match at Arsenal.
The England midfielder was struck on the head by the bottle, which was thrown from a supporter in the home section of the Emirates Stadium during Spurs’ 2-0 win on Wednesday.
The Metropolitan Police says it is working with Arsenal to try to identify the person responsible.
Alli, 22, reacted with a 2-0 gesture to fans - referencing the scoreline at the time.
