Ronnie O’Sullivan wins UK Championship

Ronnie O’Sullivan beat Shaun Murphy to claim the UK Championship title.

The Rocket won 10-5 in a thrilling display in York on Sunday night, 10 December

O’Sullivan, 42, has now amassed six UK titles and has also drew level with Stephen Hendry's 18 'Triple Crown' titles of the World, UK and Masters events.

He now has 31 ranking titles, just five behind Hendry's all-time record.

He spoke to the BBC immediately following victory: "The records are great. I tried my best all week and there's nothing left. I'm over the moon to win any tournament, let alone the UK Championship.

"I just love playing and love competing and I can't believe I'm still playing at 42, with all these grey hairs."
