Simon Grayson leaves Bradford City

Simon Grayson has left his post as manager of Bradford City.

The 48-year-old took over in February after the sacking of Stuart McCall but won just three games of his 14 in charge as the Bantams finished 11^th in League One.

He had an offer to extend his short-term contract to beyond the end of the season but has declined.

The former Sunderland boss spoke on Bradford City’s website: “This was an extremely difficult decision. After conversations with the owners I have decided to turn down the option to extend my contract."

Assistant manager Glynn Snodin has also left the club.
