Team Ineos make debut at Tour de Romandie

Geraint Thomas finished fifth in the prologue of the Tour de Romandie in his employer’s first outing as Team Ineos.

The Tour de France Champion was four seconds behind the time-trial stage winner Jan Tratnik, with Slovenia's Primoz Roglic second.

Chemical firm Ineos took over sponsorship of the team, formerly known as Team Sky, and will have an official launch at the Tour de Yorkshire this week.

The team are wearing a black one-off kit at six-day Tour de Romandie with their new colours officially unveiled at an undisclosed location in Yorkshire on Wednesday.
