Zak Hardaker has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for drugs.
The Castleford Tigers full-back tested positive for cocaine and will now not be included in England's squad for the World Cup.
The 25-year-old was omitted from the Tigers' squad before Castleford's Grand Final loss to Leeds Rhinos on Saturday, 7 October.
The failed test took place on 8 September, after a Super 8s game against Leeds.
He could be banned for two years from the sport as a result of the test.
