Newsroom Special - 'Big school' causing worries for parents

5 minutes | Tuesday, 26 June 2018

The first day at big school can be a daunting experience for any child. However for many parents this milestone in their child’s life can be equally as nerve-wracking, especially for those feeling unprepared.

Research findings released by LEGO® Juniors reveal that over a third of parents (40%) feel ‘anxious’ about their child starting at reception. 39% admit they haven’t prepared for their child starting at school this September.

Joining us in the studio is Dr Sam Wass, Child Development Psychologist, to discuss the research and offer helpful advice to parents with little ones about to start ‘big school’.
