New research has found Britain’s road users are freely admitting to breaking speed limits and not fully concentrating on their surroundings when experiencing roadworks, putting themselves and road workers at risk.
Nearly six in ten (59%) of those surveyed by Amey said they know their safety consciousness isn’t as high as it should be when experiencing roadworks. Further, 74% say they regularly break the speed limits set out on these stretches of roads.
To discuss the on-going safety concerns for Britain’s road workers we were joined by managing director of Amey, James Haluch.
