The seasons are changing, the nights are getting darker and sadly we are saying goodbye to long summer days. Although many of us may have heard of Seasonal Affective Disorder or are used to the odd cold brought about by the change in weather, we may not be aware that the shift in light levels can highlight the leading cause of visual impairment and blindness; cataracts.
Not only is this condition entirely treatable, but the same procedure could leave you with 20/20 vision and no need for glasses or contacts. To tell us more, we were joined by an Optegra consultant eye surgeon who lives and works in Huddersfield, Shafiq Rehman.
