A new poll commissioned by the Open University, has found that flexibility in the workplace and education establishments could be the main barrier to assisting those with mental issues, to mark this year’s World Mental Health Day (Wednesday 10 October).
The results found that almost a quarter (23%) said their main worries when looking to commit to a fixed-term job role or higher education course was the stress of having set hours and schedules.
In the studio to discuss the research and how flexibility can help those with mental health issues is TV presenter and Open University ambassador, Anna Richardson, along with Open University spokesperson Finlay Games.
