Today, 23 August, GCSE students all over the country have been opening up their results.
In the 2016/2017 academic year a new grading system was introduced for Maths, English Language and English Literature. This year in 2018, 20 more subjects have been changed to this grading system.
An exam-only system was also rolled out - getting rid of the coursework element of the courses.
To explain more about the changes and how they may have affected students, we were joined by Dame Sally Coates - headteacher and patron of the National Citizen Service (NCS).
