The gender pay gap has been a hot topic in 2018 and it seems women can’t escape it… even when they retire.
Prudential’s ‘Class of 2018’ study shows women retiring this year will have average expected retirement incomes £4,900 lower than men. While the average man can expect an annual income of £21,800, his female counterpart will have to make do with £16,900.
We were joined in the studio by Kirsty Anderson, a retirement expert at Prudential, to explain the findings of the annual report.
