In the wake of a rise in racially motivated hate crimes, West Yorkshire mental health charity Touchstone is delivering training to help staff and volunteers better understand Islam and Muslim communities.
More than 100 people have attended the training, which looks at the effect of Islamophobia on local Muslims, including the charity’s employees, volunteers and service users.
Arfan Hanif, Touchstone’s operation’s director, who leads the initiative, joined us in the studio.
