The Royal Mint has revealed that Brits have developed bad habits when it comes to managing their money, putting aside just £166 a year in savings. This is compared to £1,500 in 1974 – a huge decrease over the decades.
It seems there are also perceived barriers when it comes to investing. 60 per cent of respondents believe they don’t have enough money to consider investments, while 43 per cent are worried about losing money and 40 per cent said they don’t know enough about the options to consider investing.
