Given that being stuck without hot water or heating would be the worst winter disaster for 63% of Brits, it’s surprising that only 30% have started preparing their homes for the cold.
New research from British Gas has revealed a skills gap that might have something to do with it – only 17% of Brits would feel confident tackling frozen pipes, dwarfed by the 91% that would feel confident getting back into a blocked Netflix or email account, re-setting the WiFi or setting up a new mobile phone.
So how can we avoid a winter disaster at home this year?
