New research has revealed 7 in 10 middle-aged men may be mistaking symptoms of testosterone deficiency (TD), like tiredness, low mood and low libido, for natural signs of ageing.
TD affects 38% of older men (over 45), and is caused by the testicles not producing enough testosterone to regulate body functions such as libido, concentration, mood and strength. It is particularly prevalent amongst middle aged men with type 2 diabetes.
Here to tell us more is Martin Tod, Chief Executive of national charity Men’s Health Forum and men’s health expert, Dr Roger Henderson.
