Many of us believe that it’s all about the gifts for kids at Christmas, however new research has revealed that we may have underestimated our little ones when it comes to their emotional understanding of the day.
Over half of kids (60%) are happy to receive just a few items on their Christmas wish list. In fact, when asked what they would change about the festive season almost a quarter (22%) of children would make the Christmas Day magic last even longer and one in ten (10%) would choose to spend time with loved ones that are no longer with them.
To tell us more we were joined by Gary Grant, founder and executive chairman of family-owned high street toy retailer The Entertainer. The business carried out research on what it is children value most about Christmas and has been taking part in a toy appeal with the Salvation Army.
