World Encephalitis Day 2019 (Friday 22 February) is a global awareness day which aims to increase awareness about the condition and highlight the true extent of how debilitating it can be for patients.
Encephalitis can affect anyone, striking adults and children alike, and does not discriminate between age, gender, or ethnicity.

To tell us more we were joined by Phillippa Chapman, from The Encephalitis Society.
